What a way to celebrate Heritage day and weekend. Siphiwe and Lesego’s Traditional Wedding is those weddings that happen over 2 days. Day 1 in Sunninghill while day 2 in Kagiso. Our journey with Siphiwe and Lesego began with an Engagement Shoot. We really do love capturing western weddings and traditional weddings. The last wedding we did before this one was also so gorgeous.
It was lovely how both clans embraced each other. The day began with traditional rituals on the bride’s side. We then headed to the street for a quick parade.
It was then time to get ready for the actual wedding. We spent time with the bride and bridesmaid while they were getting ready. All their preparations were captured and we were good to go for a photo session.
The drive is 7km to the photo session spot. What a beautiful place. The ideas were plenty but unfortunately time is always limited due to delays. Nonetheless we always have a good time. And we always try to create lovely images. All thanks to the corporation of the couple and bridal party.
A well planned wedding is always evident to see. The decor and the cake were so gorgeous. Found ourselves capturing nonstop. The colours were also popping and very bright.
After the lovely photo session it was then time for the reception. We took a drive back to Sunninghill. At this point the sun is out at the heat unbearable. However this didn’t dampen the mood and festivities at all.
These dancers kept the crowd entertained while the couple went to change to another outfit for the day.
Siphiwe and Lesego’s Traditional Wedding Day 2
Day 2 is happening at the groom’s parent house in Kagiso. The start was delayed due to strong winds that didn’t allow for the setup to be completed in time.
Sunday afternoon also saw the change of attire. What a beautiful Zulu attire to close things off. This is actually our favourite of the lot.
The last activity for the weekend was the last photoshoot on the street.
